2 doctors appointments down this week, 1 to go. I met with a nutritionist and she said it looks like I'm getting everything I need even without eating meat. My doctor still wants me to up my calories so they suggested eating power bars for snacks. They are not moving my due date up because we are sure that I am 20 weeks pregnant and she assured me that I am just having a big baby! Great!! That should be fun when the time comes! Tomorrow I go for another ultrasound to try to see the other side of the baby's face. Hopefully he/she will be a little more cooperative this time. I hope we get another set of pictures. I can't wait to see my baby again!

Kicks...or punches or something!

I'm not sure what the baby is doing in there, but he/she is very active. I felt little flutters for the past couple of weeks, but on Friday night I got a couple of real hard kicks. Maybe Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning was too scary for him/her or maybe he/she sensed my fear. Brandon tried to feel it, but couldn't until Sunday while we were watching the Pats game. He got to feel a few good kicks. Maybe he'll be a punter. Now that this baby has learned this new trick, it seems like that's all he/she wants to do!

Baby Horgan's first pictures!

I had my first ultrasound this morning. The baby was on the move so it was tough to get good pictures. She wants me to go back next week to try to get some better profile pics. It was crazy how we could see all the little details...fingers, toes, nose, lips. I couldn't see much since I was looking at everything upside down, but Brandon got a good look at everything! We told her that we didn't want to know and I was hoping she didn't give it away and she didn't. Easier for her! The pictures didn't scan very well so I'll have to have Brandon scan them at work so everyone can see them better. She measured all the baby's parts and according to the size she thinks my due date should be moved up a week to June 7th. I'll update again after we get Baby Horgan's second pictures next week!

Room ideas!

I thought I'd change my mind about the baby's name alot, but this nursery thing is what I can't decide on. I keep seeing different themes that I like. This is the newest. Not really the wall color, but I LOVE this crib. Decisions, decisions!

Feeling guilty

I can't believe I am still not gaining any weight! I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I never had any trouble gaining weight before. It seemed like I gained even if I didn't eat before. Now that I'm trying I just can't gain. I'm eating everything that I used to plus eating ice cream and stuff at night. I drink full power Pepsi instead of diet. You'd think that would put some pounds on. My belly is getting bigger so I guess the baby is growing. I've gained 2 inches on my belly in the past 3 weeks. We'll be able to see our baby for the first time on Monday via ultrasound. I can't wait!! Hopefully they'll give us some pictures so I can scrap baby's first picture! I guess I better start scrapping again. I want my baby to have a complete book of his or her life. Maybe someday I'll finish the books from my life!

Time for new clothes!

My pre-pregnancy jeans officially don't fit! I can get them on fine, but can not button them. So today I have velour sweats on at work. I was actually hoping they would send me home for it, but no luck. I guess I'll be shopping for some maternity pants today! Not sure if I'll be able to get used to those. I'm still getting low rise so pretty soon my belly will be sticking out for everyone to see!

17 Weeks

I think the nesting is kicking in. All I want to do now is clean and organize and make room for the baby. I can't wait to paint the room, get new rugs, shop for baby furniture! When will I ever find the time?! I'm not that worried about it though. I know I have lots of people to help me out. Now I'm on a mission to find a grey crib. I'm debating if it will be too boyish though. I guess if we knew what we were having it wouldn't be a problem. I'm having my ultrasound on January 15th and I hope they don't give it away to us!
